About the University: Mälardalen University hosts about 14,000 students across 2 campuses in the heart of Sweden. The first campus is located in the city of Västerås, on the north side of lake Mälaren, while the second campus is located in Eskilstuna on the south side of the lake. The 2 campuses are located about 35 minutes apart by a free bus line offered by the university, and both cities are approximately 100 kilometers (62 miles) west of Stockholm. MDH offers over 50 academic programs including 12 taught entirely in english. These courses range from Engineering, Humanities, and Caring Sciences to Natural, Social, and Behavioral Sciences.

About the City: 
The university has campuses in the cities of Eskilstuna and Västerås, Sweden. The two cities are located within 35 minutes of each other, by bus, on opposite sides of lake Mälaren. Both are small cities with populations of a little over 100,000 people each.

Possible areas of study: 
Mälardalen University offers a wide variety of courses taught in English in social science, engineering, and the humanities. 
The university has four schools:
  1. School of Education, Culture and Communication, UKK
  2. School of Health, Care and Social Welfare, HVV
  3. School of Innovation, Design and Engineering, IDT
  4. School of Sustainable Development of Society and Technology, HST

Housing Information: 
Mälardalen University does not offer any apartments of its own. However, the university works closely with accomodation agencies to ensure that students are able to find housing during their periods of study. The majority of courses and programs offered in English are located on the Västerås campus, for this reason most international students choose to stay there. The school has arrangement with the accomodation agency "Bostad Västerås" which ensures housing for international students in the city. You may choose between corridor style apartments with a shared kitchen or apartments that have a private bathroom and kitchen, there are furnished and unfurnished options from which students may choose and most apartments are located close to campus.

There are several steps you must complete before you can apply to a Study Abroad program. After you have completed all the first steps you can apply to this program by clicking the "Apply Now" button on this page.
