About the University:
Newcastle University is a public research university located in Newcastle upon Tyne in the North East of England. Founded in 1963, Newcastle University has a student population of about 23,800. Despite the large number of students, the university develops a strong sense of community with its over 200 societies and sports teams giving students the opportunity to get involved on campus and build friendships in a smaller and more interactive setting. In fact, international students have reported a 93% satisfaction rate during their period of study at the University. Newcastle's main campus occupies over 50 acres just a short walk from the heart of the city.

About the city: 
Newcastle upon Tyne is the most populace city in the North East of England with about 280,000 inhabitants. The city of Newcastle is located just 25 minutes from the beach with other major cities including: Edinburgh, Manchester and London easily accessible by train. World-class music, comedy, cinema, nightlife, food, shopping and sporting events are available right within the city's center. Newcastle is now officially ranked as the happiest city in the United Kingdom and is known for being extremely multicultural and safe, not too mention it's the 3rd most affordable city in the UK where 1 in 6 inhabitants is a student!

Course Information:
Students may enroll in most department at Newcastle. Please check Newcastle's course listing for this coming semesters program list. 

Housing Options:
Newcastle University offers both on-campus and off-campus housing. Students studying for a full academic year are guaranteed on-campus accommodation. However, students studying for one semester should note that housing is not guaranteed. It is recommended that housing applications are completed immediately upon acceptance. Additionally, Housing in the fall semester is typically more competitive than during the spring semester. If a student is unable to secure housing, the University will make every effort to assist you in search of off-campus housing. On-campus housing typically consists of a single room plus a shared living and kitchen area. On-campus housing is also within walking distance of academic buildings and services. 

How To Apply:
There are several steps you must complete before you can apply to a Study Abroad program. After you have completed all the first steps you can apply to this program by clicking the "Apply Now" button on this page.
